The People Want Results

Even with a Republican victory, there are lessons to learn. After weeks of media prognostications and massive money funneling into the special election for the Sixth Congressional District of Georgia, the race was won by Karen Handel, a Republican. Her opponent, Jon Ossoff, outspent her, and the media declared this election a referendum on President Trump. They predicted a win for Ossoff, but in the end, the massive money and media missives were for naught.

News or Newsy Covfefe Tour

Early this Wednesday morning, shortly after midnight the night before, President Donald Trump tweeted out "Despite the constant negative press covfefe," and the internet erupted. Endless tweets, speculating about the meaning of the tweet, the reasoning of the person tweeting, creation of possible meanings of the word, along with rumination regarding why staff had not intervened before the president pressed the send button. Who knows how many man (should I say people) hours were devoted to the derision and speculation about covfefe.
